Thank You Teacher

 It is time to say goodbye, the English courses at the university have been like the other subjects, most of what I know I have learned now, I do not remember that I could understand conversations as I do now, it is not that I speak perfectly, but I can understand the meaning of the conversation and every time I learn more words. 

Blogs have been helpful in this, they help me create meaningful sentences, know the meanings that can be given to the same word and learn words outside of what I normally see in English, I also feel that it was a mental exercise, these blogs They helped me to think about things that I had not raised, I liked that. 

Speaking English I am very bad, I know that I have to improve it and that I have been trying these months, I start to sing English lyrics from memory, to fixate on the words and have more generic phrases in my mind so as not to be stopping every two words to think about how to follow the sentence, another way in which I train and entertain myself at the same time, I see YouTube shorts in English that have subtitles, so I can corroborate what I hear, I am proud that I can understand almost all the words without reading subtitles. 

I am not a person who thinks that English is useless, I learn so that it is not a limitation in my life, also everything is in English including the best Ted talks.

My Career

 Hello again to a new installment of Other Student's blog, this time we will talk about education, especially the one I receive in my chemistry and pharmacy career. First, we will talk about the name, in my opinion the name should be only pharmacy, there is already a career that has the name of chemistry and seeing the program in foreign universities where the career is called only pharmacy, it has the same courses.

 Within the courses of the career, I do not see problems, I just would like them to add another course in biotechnology, because in my opinion, it will be the new pharmacy. Let's talk about the structural and instrumental part, I feel that our faculty was left to the hand of God, there are very old instruments and sometimes you must work in pairs so that they reach everyone. 

The green building called tottus is fine, but the blue building is from a few decades ago, it's one of these scary buildings on winter afternoons, with flashing lights and ugly sounding air conditioning. Now about teaching methods, I would like there to be more practical classes, I feel that you learn more by doing than by listening to how it is done. The teachers seem to me that they teach well and that they want to teach, but I don't think they have the resources to do what they want, I would like them to give them more budget to use their full potential. Time Travel

 Hello, to the keyboard your favorite blogger. Someone made me a proposal to talk about a travel to the future, but I had never thought about it. After many turns to the subject, I decided that I would like to go about 4 or 5 years in the future, where I already have a stable job and hopefully like the one of my dreams, I have been having that goal for many years, since I practically entered basic education, I don't know about you, but having the same goal for 17 years starts to get a bit boring, I would like to think about buying a house, a car and doing the things that limit my money, for example traveling to other countries and staying for stays. 

The life of a university student is not the best one can have, sometimes not being able to make ends meet without debt, having to get money to have a place to stay in Santiago and hopefully a place where you won't get stabbed for wanting to go shopping bread to the corner. If they gave me the possibility to stay in that time, I may or may not stay, the mind beautifies everything, surely it is not as great as I imagine it, but at least I would like to see myself in that time and know how I has gone in life. Dream Job

 Let's talk about the future, what would be the job that I would like after leaving university? Until now I had not thought about it much and I do not have a clear idea either, but if I know that I would like a job close to my home or where I live at the moment, that it is a quiet job and a modest salary, I am a person of customs, so I would not like to travel a lot or change jobs often. I would like to have a job where I don't try too hard to have a quiet life, without stress or at least trying.

I don't like that perception that some people have that effort is the only thing that counts, isn't my happiness worth it? Or do I have to be from 4 years to 65 years striving for something that I am not going to enjoy? I think about it and it makes me sad, working with so much effort eight hours a day with two or three miserable weeks of vacation a year, getting old and not having the energy to be able to enjoy all that you have achieved in so many years of work, of course, I would like to have my house and my car, but that would be my limit if I can I would like to work until two or at most until 4 and enjoy the rest of the day doing what I like, that is the job of my dreams.

Entertainment industry

 Hello, now I would like to talk about Netflix and entertainment at this time.

I remember how Netflix was before its great boom a little before the pandemic, I was a person with simple tastes and almost every series or movie that was released I liked, but now I feel that not a series or movie is worth it, I feel that They are very plastic and have no essence, in addition, the expansion that streaming platforms have undergone does not help, HBO MAX, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, etc. 

So many series and movies are released that I must choose which one to watch, it would be easy if there was only one good one, but something extraordinary comes out every week. Two weeks ago the squid game was released, last week the second or third season of the paper house, this week Spiderman and the next there will be something else to see, there is no time to process anything, I feel that the entertainment world is It has become ephemeral, it no longer matters what you saw yesterday, only what came out today, no one remembers Dark, the squid game or Stranger Things, they are things of the past and they do not matter today. It is what I feel about this industry, I just hope that popular genres do not become fashionable and exploit them, but it is what I think is going to happen. That is all, thanks for reading, bye.

Biotechnology

 Hello, today I am going to talk to you about the second career I had to study, biotechnology.

Biotechnology is a science that is dedicated to studying organisms and how to make them beneficial to us, for example, the use of yeast to make bread, make larger and more nutritious fruits and vegetables or current vaccines against the coronavirus, all except The Sinovac are made with biotechnology techniques, not everything is good with this career, there are some purist organizations, anti-chemists that are dedicated to discredit the advances of this science, for example, a genetically modified rice was created to be more nutritious for growing children or for people in a state of malnutrition, Greenpeace came to discredit it without good reasons, that agriculture is going to be monopolized and things like that, in my opinion there are no reasons to believe
that, since the modified rice was created by a university with public funds, they also released the patent so that anyone could cultivate them. This has been the controversy that this career has been carrying, but I think it is the future of food and medicine, another bad thing is that in Chile there is no job offer in this profession, even so, I would have liked to study that as well.

That concert

When talk to me about concerts, I remember the one that I never went to, with the friend that I never had. Could it have been there? was it that day? On April 1 in Córdova, Argentina. I remember the performance that the artist "Tyler, The Creator"? prepared for that day, with her pink wig for the premiere of her latest album. I remember how I enjoyed it… (♫ cause you make my earfquake ♪), I sang them all, the one that I knew, the others hummed them, the atmosphere was crazy, with some songs people started jumping and while jumping I fell and they stepped on me, nothing serious, but it left me lame for a while. I especially loved that concert because at the end, while we were going to buy some breads with ham, we found Tyler walking, after a few minutes we got him to take a picture of us posing next to a blue ring that was near to stadium. After walking and eating local food, we went to our hostel to return home the next day.. I never remember that day, but for the occasion an exception can be made.
